It's all about what you want in life

Gut Check:

Last week, a younger coworker commented to me that he was surprised I took the job I'm currently in "because of my longevity."

Side eye. I sort of felt that one right in the ribs.

My response: "It's all about what you want in life, and I am exactly where I want to be."

And that's a true story.

But it hasn't always been easy.
